According to the Dallas Morning News, development deals that were in the pipeline before the pandemic began are continuing to open in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, including the billion-dollar Cambridge Crossing community which is located about 17 miles north of downtown Dallas. The development under construction by the Cambridge Cos. spans 639-acres and will eventually include about 1,600 homes plus future mixed-use, office and retail buildings. Phase one is 330 homes priced in the low $300,000s.

Builders in the project include Coventry Homes, Highland Homes, Perry Homes and UnionMain Homes. Model homes in the community are already under construction.

“We love Celina and the home town feel it brings to our neighborhoods,” Chuck Wilson, founder and president of The Cambridge Cos., said in a statement. “We are conscious of honoring the past history of the farm land while cultivating a new place for families to grow their roots. This neighborhood will be perfect for first-time home buyers and move-up buyers alike.”
